Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training
Prenatal Teacher Training with BirthDevi Maternity Services will fully prepare you to confidently teach a safe, mindful and beneficial prenatal yoga class. You will learn about the physical and emotional changes that occur during pregnancy, when modifications are necessary, and how the prenatal yoga practice can help to manage some of the discomforts experienced during each trimester. You will also gain some basic familiarity with the labor process and ways to prepare expecting mothers physically and mentally for the challenges of labor utilizing yogic techniques and philosophy.
Beyond learning how to teach prenatal yoga, this training is often personally transformational for many participants. Participants in these trainings embark on a journey of self discovery and often find themselves on a new path that can lead to exciting, unexpected opportunities.
- Successful completion of 200-hour basic yoga teacher training
- 6 months of yoga teaching experience (or similar experience)
- Completion of application
- Acceptance interview
$799 if registered by January 6

Three Tuesday evenings:
Feb 12, 19, 26 (6:30 - 9:30pm)
Note: This training includes contact and non-contact hour requirements.
You earn 40 hours of Continuing Education credits with Yoga Alliance.

About the instructor
Kelly Swails, RPYT, E-RYT, CCCE, CLC has taught prenatal yoga actively since 2005 and has trained prenatal yoga teachers for over 10 years. She is an experienced prenatal yoga teacher, birth doula, childbirth educator and lactation counselor. Kelly has trained and mentored new prenatal yoga teachers and doulas since 2010 and has attended over 65 births throughout the tri-state area.
