Every heart has a song to sing.  When that song is offered with love and devotion, we invoke the spirit of Bhakti: the yoga of love and devotion.  The ancient path of Bhakti yoga draws on Kirtan (call and response singing), japa (mantra recitation), prayer, meditation, and other art forms to awaken the heart.  As we awaken the heart, we find greater meaning in our lives and connect to the divinity that is within us and all around us.  In this workshop, we devote ourselves to sacred time for soul nourishment which includes gentle yoga, call and response singing, and other fun Bhakti practices that celebrate the divine in all it's forms.  No prior musical experience is required and you do not have to consider yourself a singer to participate and enjoy.

Kirtan with Satya Franche

Kirtan is a cross-cultural, participatory experience that originated in India many centuries ago. Formally a part of bhakti yoga (the devotional path of yoga), and nada yoga, (the science of sound & vibration), kirtan is quickly becoming one of the leading forms of participatory world music.

This musical genre utilizes ancient Sanskrit mantras in a call-and-response format that incorporates the audience right into the performance. The melody and instrumentation begin slowly, increase in intensity and speed as the chant progresses, and slow again at the end of the chant. Often participants will clap hands or use shakers to add to the rhythm and enthusiasm of the chant. Everyone can participate - there are no prerequisites, no special talents or skills, and no religious beliefs or cultural backgrounds that are needed to take part in the kirtan experience.

Join Satya Franche for an evening of meditative chanting that will bring you deeper into the heart-mind connection through the practice of kirtan.

Candle Meditation for Manifestation with Jean Bromage

From the temples of ancient Greece to the contemporary birthday cake, candles have been used in meditation, ceremony and ritual for as long as they have been around. As many people today turn to alternative forms of spirituality to feel connected to themselves and a higher power, candles continue to play an important role in both personal and group practices. Candles can also hold their own as all-in-one altars when you don’t have the time or space to create something more elaborate for your meditation practice.

In this 3-hour workshop, you will experience how to use candles as a co-creation tool for modern living to support the manifestation of your deepest desires. You will come away inspired to make candles a part of your daily life to consistently activate the energy and mindset that best supports your personal intentions and goals. The group candle meditation during this workshop will ignite the energy that you will continue to work with at home, using the candle you choose. We will also engage in several discussions and activities including:

  • Why a candle is such a powerful tool for co-creation.
  • Writing a clear intention or goal as well as an affirmation to use when you work with your candle.
  • Anchoring exercise to embody how you want to feel each day as you manifest the life you desire.
  • Using gratitude to magnetize and receive the blessings and resources that will help you create what you want.
  • How you can activate and work with the chakras when manifesting, including a moving chakra meditation.
  • How to choose the candle that will best support your special goal or intention.
  • Steps for you to work with your candle at home and continue the momentum started in this group.

Cost of the workshop includes a handmade, essential oil reiki candle of your choosing. Additional candles will be available for purchase at the workshop.

Candle Meditation for Manifesting Your Goals

Pre-registration required.

Kirtan with Satya Franche

Kirtan with Satya Franche

Please join Satya Franche for an evening of meditative chanting that will bring you deeper into the heart-mind connection through the practice of Kirtan (call & response singing).

This is a very powerful and easy way to use sound to help us to connect with the divine energy within both ourselves and others.

Kirtan (“chanting”) is a cross-cultural, participatory experience that originated in India many centuries ago. Formally a part of bhakti yoga, the devotional path of yoga, and nada yoga, the science of sound & vibration, kirtan is quickly becoming one of the leading forms of participatory world music. Everyone can participate - there are no prerequisites, no special talents or skills, and no religious beliefs or cultural backgrounds that are needed to take part in the kirtan experience.

Power Animals: Finding Your Spirit Guide

Join us for this special shamanic journey for Power Animal retrieval lead by Celtic Shaman and QiGong Healer, Nadiya Nottingham.

You may already feel that a particular animal has been helping you and you may have felt this since childhood. In this workshop, as you lay down, a beautiful heartbeat drum will take you on a journey to find your Power Animal guided by Nadiya.

A Power Animal is a guide, protector, a force of nature which may guide you to new self-understanding, help to connect you to other helpers or healing that you may need, and perhaps most profoundly, will give you a sense of having an ally to face post or pre surgery, divorce, moving, death of dear ones or breaking new ground in your life on many levels. Nadiya will help you to understand the meaning of your Spirit Animal and will share her knowledge and stories of how the animals and nature spirits are just waiting for us to “ask” for the help we need.
