This workshop covers all the basics that you and your partner need to know in preparation for labor. You will learn the signs of labor, physical and emotional milestones of the birthing process, options to consider, steps to take now in preparation for birth, and key issues to discuss with your doctor or midwife. You will practice proven comfort measures for managing contractions, and, more importantly, explore how to fully utilize the power of these techniques. This workshop provides a yogic perspective on birthing that will be helpful even if you need, or choose an epidural. You will also learn what you can do now to facilitate a more easeful birth experience. Partners will learn proven labor support methods, and ways to participate more fully in this sacred event. The information gained in this workshop may be used in hospital, birth center or home birth environments. This workshop is a great supplement, or alternative to a hospital class.
